What Is the Work and Travel Program?
The Work and Travel Program is an international cultural exchange program. It gives international students the opportunity to spend their summer in the United States, improve their English, travel across the country, experience new cultures, and gain valuable life and work experience.
The first three months of the program are dedicated to working, while the fourth and final month is reserved for traveling and exploring the United States.
Students participating in the program apply for a J-1 visa, which allows them to stay in the United States for up to four months.
Who Can Apply?
The Work & Travel USA program is open exclusively to STUDENTS who are enrolled as full time students during the academic year and meet the following requirements:
are between 18 and 29 years old
have a conversational level of English
have not repeated the academic year in which they are applying for the Work and Travel program
are actively progressing through their studies and regularly taking exams
have a valid passport
You can apply as a first year student, as well as a master’s or PhD student!
